Our Goals

First and foremost, bring awareness about the field of Materials Science and Engineering
- Specifically awareness of the Materials Science and Engineering program that is offered on the UC Davis campus
Create a diverse and inclusive community of individuals interested in Materials Science and Engineering whether it be academically or professionally.
Network with local schools (like community colleges, high schools, and middle schools) to provide more recognition of the Materials Science field.
Establish a curriculum for recruitment and advertisement.
- Including marketing material (Outreach Media)
- Thoughtful experiments (Outreach Creation)
- Lesson plans and scheduling for future use (Outreach Consolidation)
Work tangentially with sister Materials Science organization, Materials Advantage Student Chapter (MASC) to help admitted students find a home at UC Davis especially in the Materials Science department
- Materials Outreach Corporation will focus more on recruitment and advocacy of prospective Materials Science and Engineering students choosing to enter either:
  - UC Davis
  - UC Davis’s Materials Science and Engineering Program
