Nicole Shuman is a 4th-year Materials Science and Engineering undergraduate. She transferred to the University of California, Davis in 2019 from Folsom Lake College as a First-Generation re-entry student. Nicole is interested in using her Materials Science and Engineering knowledge to assist in biomedical applications involving avian prosthetics. She is also very interested in Makerspaces and interdisciplinary project-based learning. In her very little free time, she enjoys hiking, birdwatching, and spending time with her family.
